Name you wish to be called: Dee is fine
Favorite type of music: Jrock is my number one, but I'm open to every genre. Mostly I listen to jrock, british rock, alternative, instrumentals, soundtracks, jpop, kpop, and whatever random crap i steal from my friends.
Several bands you enjoy: Dir en Grey, Plastic Tree, The Back Horn, Kuroyume, Baroque, David Bowie, Psycho le cemu, Gackt, Miyavi, hide, Kaggra, kagerou, Muse, Aya, Nicholas Tse, Chakra, Gazette, The Beatles, HYDE, Duel Jewel, Camino, Deadman, MUCC, Inugami Circus-Dan, D'espairs Ray, Toadies, The Sounds, Asian Kung fu Generation, Olivia, D[di:], Nirvana, No Doubt, Yoshiki(anything related to him <3), Kozi, Kra, Kalimero...and other stuff.
Three of your favorite songs and why:
Duel Jewel- Tsuki to tawamure: Its one of the first songs i ever heard of theirs, and when I saw them preform it live at the acoustic concert, I was just blown away. I think its an absolutely gorgeous song, and it always make me alittle teary-eyed.
Gackt- Oasis: Its been my favorite song since the beginning. Not only do I love the lyrics, but the song is just so different, and complex, and has a really strong, driving beat throughout the song. To me Oasis is the epitome of Gackt's blinding talent.
Chakra- the 2nd song from their 2nd album- ^^;; I can't, for the life of me, find a good Chakra page that tells me about any of their discography. i discovered the music video to this song nearly 4 years ago, and I've been in love with it since. Its absolutely amazing, with this techno, ethereal, indian-esque sound to it. there's really no way to explain it, but its really very beautiful and amazing. the rap part is good too :D
Your favorite instrument and why: The bass guitar, hands down. I think its one of the sexiest sounds ever created on this earth. Bass guitar solos are my crack, and just about any band that has alot of them will win me over. I depserately want to learn it sometime, but I currently cant afford to go out and buy a guitar :/
Who do you consider to be the most talented musician today?: its a tossup between Gackt and David Bowie. I admire David Bowie for his challenging lyrics, brave songwriting, and his ability to always stay ahead of the time. He is the defining musician of both the 70's and the 80's, and is still going strong. I love him to death. And Gackt rarely disapoints me, except maybe on some of his pop releases. But I think even those are complex and innovative songs, and I am ever jealous of his skills at writing lyrics, songs, producing, and playing every instrument to ever touch his hands.
Who do you consider to be the most talented musician ever?: Mozart? ^^; I know its terribly cliched, but he really is my favorite classical composer. His operas are awe-inspiring.
What do you plan on contributing to the community?: My witty one-liners...or something. I'll do whatever my lovely mod wishes :D
Languages spoken: English, and a smattering of French. Thats it. I am unfortunately not a linguist, though I do plan to learn japanese starting next semsester.
Last live you attended: the Epitaph Records tour with my friend to see Motion City Soundtrack
